Defence and Weapon Systems is responsible for, among other things, the sales, offering, and delivery of weapon systems, air surveillance-related products, and drones.
We are now searching for a
Our Defence and Weapon System business area production environments depend on reliable purchasing of components, efficient logistics coordination, and strict compliance with international trade regulations. To support our Defence and Weapon System operational growth, we are looking for a systematic, highly hands-on and performance-driven Purchasing Specialist to ensure uninterrupted supply chain and material flow. Purchasing Specialist is responsible for operational procurement. You work in close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You monitor supplier quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure continuous material availability for production
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components and sub-assemblies.
• Placing orders based on purchase proposals, order and delivery follow-up
• Develop related processes and procedures for operative purchasing
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid production stoppages
• Resolve actively material shortages or supply chain bottlenecks
• You actively communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Supplier collaboration with both domestic and international supplier networks
• Monitoring material deliveries, communicating potential delivery issues, and taking corrective actions
• Parameterizing and maintaining purchased items in the ERP system
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Business
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial purchasing and logistics
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environment
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and item data
• Good collaboration and communication skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• A proactive approach to developing your own work and purchasing practices
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills
