Patria's commitment to sustainability and ethical integrity is reflected in its comprehensive set of policies and practices, that guide the company's business practices. Patria's ways of working are based on the high ethical standards communicated by Patria's the Board of Directors, CEO, and senior management. The company's operations are guided by Patria's Code of Conduct and related guidelines and policies, international agreements, laws and regulations in each market area, export license practices, and agreements made with customers and other stakeholders.
The cornerstone of the policies is the Patria Code of Conduct, which outlines the ethical standards and expectations for all employees and business partners. Moreover, Patria has established a Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that all suppliers adhere to the same high standards of ethical behavior and responsible sourcing.
The Code of Conduct is supported by the Patria Sustainability policy, which reflects the company’s commitment and ambition to sustainable practices. Sustainability policy is complemented by Patria’s other policies and guidelines, such as People policy. The Sustainability policy applies to the whole of Patria Group, which includes Patria Oyj and all its 100% owned subsidiaries, both in Finland and abroad. The guidance does not apply to affiliated companies, which Patria expects to have corresponding guidance and, at a minimum, to operate at the level of Patria. However, Patria's sustainability reporting also covers its majority-owned companies.
Patria's corporate responsibility is highlighted by its position as a majority state-owned company and its role as a strategic partner of the Finnish Defence Forces. Safeguarding business continuity, which requires profitable and responsible operations, is of paramount importance to Patria. Patria's corporate responsibility is divided into three areas of sustainability: environment, social and governance.
Acts in violation of Patria's Code of Conduct, even when done with the best of intentions, may cause significant long-term damage to Patria´s reputation and may lead to legal actions against the company and its Personnel. Patria is committed to support and protect employees who refuse to act unethically. Any member of Patria Personnel who violates the Code is subject to strict discipline, up to and including termination of employment or contract. Read more about raising concerns.
