Training for employees
Ethical conduct and sustainability awareness are fundamental competencies for every employee and partner. Training programs are designed to ensure, that everyone in our organization – and those we work with – understands their responsibilities and is empowered to act with integrity. All Patria employees are required to complete a mandatory online training course on ethical business conduct, which is based on Patria’s Code of Conduct and related policies. It is available in multiple languages. The training includes practical case examples on:
All new employees are introduced to business conduct principles as well as to sustainability related topics in environmental and social domains during onboarding, ensuring early alignment with Patria’s values and expectations. In addition, for employees in roles with elevated ethical risk – such as sales, procurement, finance, and project management – Patria provides tailored in-depth training. These sessions cover advanced topics including:
Also, the Board Members as well as the Group Management Team participate in updated, role-specific trainings to ensure genuine top-down commitment and to reinforce ethical leadership at the highest level.
Training for partners
Strategic suppliers and key business partners are introduced to Patria’s Ethical Code of Conduct and are required to commit to its principles. In addition, selected partners receive classroom training focused on ethical business conduct, with special emphasis on anti-corruption and anti-bribery expectations. Patria’s Supplier Day was held in August 2025 in Finland.
Measuring effectiveness
Patria measures the effectiveness and quality of the ethical trainings with a Compliance survey taken every year. Specific questions concerning ethical behavior and concerns of misconduct are asked from all the personnel. According to the survey in 2024, 96% know how to act if they recognize unethical conduct. Quality and effectiveness of trainings was assessed to be 4.0 with a scale of 1-5 (1 = weak and 5 = excellent).
Patria’s sustainability policy emphasizes the importance of competence development as a foundation for responsible business. We encourage employees to actively contribute to ethical culture and sustainability goals through daily actions and open dialogue.
