The United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development outlines 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). These were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015. Read more about Sustainable Development Goals: https://sdgs.un.org/goals

Patria's sustainability framework is based on six of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are gender equality (SDG 5), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), Sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), climate action (SDG 13) and peace and justice strong institutions (SDG 16). Patria is integrating these objectives into their operational principles,  targets and action plans through dedicated efforts, establishing a framework for future improvement and sustainability.

Memberships

Patria adheres to the United Nations (UN) Global Compact corporate sustainability and the Science Based Targets initiatives, its values are inspired by The United Nations (UN) Universal and Declaration of Human Rights the International Labour Organization (ILO).The leading Finnish companies operating in international and domestic markets established Global Compact Finland Network to gather up all the Finnish companies and organizations committed to the UN Global Compact initiative. Patria is a member of the Global Compact Nordic and Finland networks and the Finnish Corporate Responsibility Network (FIBS).  

Patria has  also industry-related memberships. Patria is a Direct Company Member of AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD). Patria is also a member of the Association of Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (AFDA) in which Patria’s representative acts a Chairman of the Board. AFDA covers almost all the defence-related industries in Finland with approximately 200 member companies. AFDA has close relations with the Finnish Ministry of Defence and Defence Forces. It is also a member of the ASD. Patria is also a member of the AmCham in Finland and the Chamber of Commerce in Helsinki region. Patria has been part of TRACE, and international corporate network, since 2021. 

Sustainability ratings

Patria’s sustainability work has achieved bronze-level rating in Ecovadis. The assessment was completed in July 2025 covering corporate sustainability from the perspectives of environmental performance, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Patria’s overall scores improved to 67/100 reaching level ‘advanced’. Bronze-level award is given to top 35% companies assessed.  

EcoVadis is a global provider of business sustainability ratings and has assessed over 130,000 companies across 220+ industries and 180+ countries. The EcoVadis assessment methodology is based on internationally accepted principles of corporate sustainability reporting, such as the UN Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines and the ISO 26000 standard.
