We are now searching for an exprienced and business-oriented

(Senior) Business Controller, F-35

to support the performance, growth, and strategic direction of our F-35 business area consisting of F-35 assembly, manufacturing, and maintenance units. The operations are currently in ramp-up phase and in the role, you will have an opportunity to determine and set up financial processes to structures.

In this role, you will act as a key financial partner to business, ensuring strong financial governance, forward‑looking insights, and high‑quality decision support. You will work closely with operational teams, management, and external stakeholders, requiring excellent communication skills, analytical capability, and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business impact.

Preferred location: Tampere or Halli, Jämsä.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Act as a trusted financial partner to business unit leadership, supporting strategic and operational decision‑making.

  • Provide proactive analysis on financial performance, risks, opportunities, and business drivers.

  • Communicate financial insights clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support commercial activities, customer negotiations, and contract processes with financial expertise.

Financial Planning, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Lead the business unit’s monthly performance reporting.

  • Drive accuracy and timeliness in financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business strategy and corporate requirements.

  • Prepare insightful management reporting packages to support leadership discussions.

Controlling Processes & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain controlling frameworks and financial governance for the business.

  • Ensure adherence to internal control, accounting, and compliance standards.

  • Ensure cost follow-up process is in line with customer requirements and track cost development.

  • Manage financial audits and interact with auditors and other external parties as needed.

Operational & Product Costing

  • Lead the development of ERP‑based costing structures, cost tracking, and factory controlling processes.

  • Support the evolution of cost accounting models to improve transparency and decision‑making.

  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and product teams to optimize profitability and cost efficiency.

Stakeholder Interaction

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as operations, sourcing, engineering, and commercial teams.

  • Serve as financial counterpart in customer or project‑specific matters requiring dedicated financial support.

  • Represent the business in discussions with external stakeholders as needed.

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in business controlling, financial planning, or similar senior finance roles.

  • Strong business acumen with experience in partnering with operational and commercial teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior management and external stakeholders.

  • Solid understanding of ERP systems, cost accounting, and manufacturing‑related finance.

  • Proactive, analytical, and structured working style.
