Patria’s new tracked vehicle leverages the best of yesterday’s designs to build tomorrow’s battlefield advantage, blending proven strength with modern demands for mobility, protection, and versatility.

You don’t always need to reinvent the wheel — but on tomorrow’s battlefields, you must rethink how it moves.

Tackling new challenges with smarter mobility

Battlefields today are more unforgiving than ever: multi-dimensional, fast-paced, and constantly shifting. Legacy vehicles — built for yesterday’s wars — weren’t designed for this dynamic threat environment.
Modern operations demand speed, agility, versatility, and enhanced protection across varied, often extreme terrains. But simply combining different vehicle types into one fleet is not the answer. More mass means less mobility — and mass is the enemy of survival.

Patria’s new two-track vehicle breaks this compromise. It sits at the perfect intersection of protection, tactical mobility, and operational reach, delivering safe, agile operations in the harshest conditions – with light agile solution.

Key design innovations include:
Ground clearance with adjustable hydro-pneumatic suspension, flat bottom and even low ground pressure for maximum mobility over rough, unpredictable terrains
High-speed operations for rapid troop relocations
Water-crossing capabilities without external support, allowing rapid, unprepared small river crossings
Spacious safe crew compartment, fitting up to 10 dismounted soldiers, and an ergonomic, accessible driver/commander area to reduce fatigue and vibration exposures during long demanding missions

Patria TRACKX vehicle family, aim to equip light mechanised and motorised forces for operations in arctic, mountain, forest, desert, and urban environments. The new innovation is not only for arctic conditions but all over and all environments where the user needs unlimited operational freedom from mobility perspective.

Combining strengths without compromise

Patria engineered its tracked vehicle concept based on three critical requirements:

  • Maximise operational mobility without sacrificing protection (speed, range, survivability).
  • Ensure safe, high-speed travel across all terrains
    —    including soft snow, marshlands, and small rivers.
  • Blend the best features of army legacy vehicles: articulated unprotected four-tracked platforms' off-road mobility, wheeled vehicles' operational mobility, protection and situational awareness, and light two-track armoured vehicles’ simplicity and agility.

The result? A platform that balances the tactical triangle — protection, tactical mobility, and
operational mobility — without compromise.

A (r)evolution on the battlefield

Patria’s new tracked vehicle redefines what’s possible in the 13–18 ton class.
Key design innovations include:

  • Low, centred centre of gravity for safe, high-speed maneuvering.
  • Adjustable hydropneumatic suspension and high ground clearance for maximum mobility over rough, unpredictable terrains.
  • Water-crossing capabilities without external support, allowing rapid, unprepared small river crossings.
  • Spacious crew compartment, fitting up to 10 dismounted soldiers, and an ergonomic, accessible driver/commander area to reduce fatigue during demanding missions.

This is tactical and operational freedom — engineered for the realities of modern multi-domain operations

Beyond a single vehicle: Building a family of systems

Patria’s innovation doesn’t stop at a single platform. The new tracked vehicle is the first step in a broader Patria Tracked Vehicle family, aiming to equip light mechanised and motorised forces for operations in Arctic, mountain, forest, desert, and urban environments. The new innovation is not only for arctic conditions but all over and all environments where the user needs unlimited operational freedom from mobility perspective.

System variants with heavier protection, enhanced armament, and specialized mission payloads are already in development — offering a modular, scalable solution for modern force structures.

Mobility. Protection. Adaptability.
Patria TRACKX sets the standard for future battlefields.
