Patria to demonstrate real-time passive surveillance and signal intelligence capabilities at EW LIVE 2026
Patria will participate in Electronic Warfare Live (EW Live) 2026 on 15-17 September. EW Live consists of one-to-one demonstrations at Ülenurme Airport, Tartu, Estonia. Delegations from NATO and NATO-friendly countries seeking to strengthen their electronic warfare, intelligence and surveillance capabilities are invited to attend the demonstrations.
At the event, Patria will conduct a live field demonstration of an air surveillance mission, monitoring the airspace over Estonia and southern Finland using the Patria MUSCL passive radar and Patria CATCHR ESM system. The demonstration combines a deployed sensor site with a distributed multi-sensor network, providing real-time situational awareness without transmitting any signals.
By fusing passive radar tracks and electronic support measures into a common operational picture, the system enables the detection, localization and tracking of aerial targets and radar emitters while remaining completely covert. Visitors will witness how passive surveillance and signal intelligence capabilities can complement each other to deliver resilient, survivable and effective situational awareness in contested electromagnetic environments.

Patria WISPR, Weapon Indication and Sensing Passive Radar, represents a new era of counter-battery operations when survivability and electromagnetic silence are critical. As a completely passive counter-battery radar, WISPR enables continuous battlefield operation even in close proximity to the adversary. By utilizing Passive Coherent Location (PCL) technology, the system operates without transmitters that could reveal its presence and location, providing discreet yet persistent projectile detection and weapon locating capabilities.
