The era of security built around a single solution is over. In a world shaped by disruption and competition, resilience can no longer rely on a single security guarantee, alliance or strategy. The theme of Helsinki Security Forum 2026, Layers of Security, highlights the multiple dimensions of security and the role of different actors in building them.
Discussions at HSF 2026 will cover topics such as European defence cooperation, technological sovereignty, defence innovation, nuclear deterrence, and Russia’s role in the European security environment. Patria’s President and CEO, Panu Routila, will participate in the programme as a panellist.
Helsinki Security Forum is the Finnish Institute of International Affairs’ international security conference, bringing together more than 350 decision-makers, experts and influencers from around the world in Helsinki each year. The President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, serves as the event’s official patron.
