Patria supports Helsinki Security Forum 2023
Helsinki Security Forum, organised by the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA), brings together leaders and foreign policy experts to address current international security issues from the perspective of Northern Europe. Helsinki Security Forum 2023 is organised with support from Patria, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Ministry of Defence of Finland and the City of Helsinki.
The second annual Helsinki Security Forum (HSF) will be held on 29 September–1 October 2023. The theme of this year’s HSF is Deter, Defend and Secure – Europe in the Era of Radical Uncertainty.
Helsinki Security Forum invites international decision-makers and security policy experts to Finland to discuss the global implications of the altered security environment in Europe. President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö acts as the patron of the Helsinki Security Forum 2023.
“Helsinki Security Forum facilitates important discussion on Europe’s security situation and European defence cooperation, undergoing a transformation. The grounds for the existence of the defence industry have become clear to everyone when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of the sovereign country of Ukraine,” says Esa Rautalinko, Patria’s President and CEO. “Europe can bolster its defence to a new level by developing shared European capabilities with even greater determination. Even if the war in Ukraine were to end today, we are facing years of growing demand and efforts to step up European preparedness.”
