Patria has signed a five-year agreement with Qatar Airways to train their new pilots. The training will be based on Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) program, which was tailored by Patria for Qatar Airways.

Despite current challenges in aviation, Patria has continued its training activities throughout the whole season. Thanks to this, Patria has maintained its capability to enroll cadets from Qatar Airways, and start training activities in Patria´s training bases in Finland and Spain once required. In addition to their flight training, Qatar Airways Cadets will also receive a Bachelor´s Degree as part of their studies.

“Our MPL training agreement with Qatar Airways is instrumental to Patria´s success in international pilot training growth strategy. Qatar Airways is among the largest and most awarded airlines in the world. We at Patria are very proud to have Qatar Airways as our customer,” says Jyrki Myyryläinen, Director of Patria’s Pilot Training.

“Our partnership with Patria will offer Qatar Airways’ cadet pilots the highest levels of training and qualification, preparing them for their pivotal role in the future as Qatar Airways pilots. This strategic agreement marks the World’s Best Airline’s commitment to providing cadet pilots with industry-leading training programmes,” says Qatar Airways Chief Flight Operations Officer, Captain Jassim Abdulla H.
