Ingvar Pärnamäe, 40, has been appointed as the new CEO of Milrem LCM. He will start in the position on the 1st of July 2018. Pärnamäe has a very broad experience and proven merits in defence sector. Currently, he is the CEO of Estonian Defence Industry Association and the Cluster Manager of Estonian Defence and Security Industry Innovation Cluster since October 2016.

During 2002-2016 Pärnamäe worked in the Estonian Ministry of Defence. In 2011-2016, he was the Undersecretary for Defence Investments responsible for defence procurements, military infrastructure, defence industrial policy and defence research and development. He has also been Estonian National Armaments Director and represented Estonia in the respective NATO and European Union working bodies. Before 2011 he served as the Director of Estonian National Security Authority, Director of Procurement Department and Head of Baltic Cooperation Section. In 2008-2009, he was in Kabul working as the Estonian Defence Adviser in Afghanistan and also mentoring the Afghan Ministry of Defence.

Before the Estonian Ministry of Defence Pärnamäe was active in Estonian politics for almost seven years. He was the member of the Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu) in 1999-2002.

Pärnamäe has graduated from the National Defense University in Washington, DC in 2015, holding a Master of Science degree in National Resource Management. He graduated as BSc in Human Geography at the University of Tartu, Estonia in 2002.

Milrem LCM is a subsidiary of Patria and is a part of International Support Partnerships business unit. Patria owns 60% of Milrem LCM and 40% is owned by Mootor Grupp. Milrem LCM provides services for defence and security sector offering life cycle support services for heavy and armoured vehicles, weapon systems and other military equipment. The company provides maintenance and repair works for the Estonian Defence Forces' XA-180 and XA-188 as well as other military vehicles in Tallinn and in Võru.
