Demand for corporate fine related to Patria’s Egyptian export deal dismissed by the Pirkanmaa District Court

The Pirkanmaa District Court has in its decision given today 23 June, 2011 dismissed the corporate fine demanded to be imposed on Patria Land Services Oy. Instead four former or present Patria employees have been sentenced to conditional imprisonment related to accounting offence, aggravated accounting offence or aiding and abbetting therein.

The State Prosecutor had presented this demand in the case, where former or present employees of the company were prosecuted due to aggravated bribery, accounting offence and aggravated accounting offence. The case was related to the Egyptian export deal, which was carried out during 1998-2004 by a group company then called Patria Vammas Oy.
