Patria Pilot Training has completed training of the first group of 12 Kazakh students in co-operation with the Kazakhstan Civil Aviation Academy.

The students have received commercial pilot training according to European Aviation Safety Agency´s (EASA) regulations. The cooperation between Kazakhstan and Patria was started in 2013, and the first group of students started their two-year training in May 2014.

“Patria has provided the students with internationally recognized high quality pilot training. The students have been extremely motivated and completed their training with great success. Based on the training and their skills, graduates are now ready to apply for a position of a co-pilot with airlines and receive type rating training. We certainly wish and believe that they will be employed by airlines in Kazakhstan very quickly”, says Mikko Paronen, Managing Director of Patria Pilot Training.

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, Lenita Toivakka, who just recently visited Kazakhstan, sent her greetings to the students through a representative of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, and wished the best of success to each graduate in their careers. The Minister also emphasized the value and continuation of the pilot training cooperation between Finland and Kazakhstan.

The graduation ceremony of the first 12 students was attended by invited guests of honor, including Galymzhan Koishybayev, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Finland, Päivi Peltokoski Director, Unit for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Nadezhda Dolzhenko, Pro-Rector, Kazakhstan Civil Aviation Academy, as well as the families and friends of the students and the staff of Patria Pilot Training.  

Patria Pilot Training is a leading European aviation academy that has trained hundreds of commercial pilots since its founding in 1998. In addition to Finnish students, Patria Pilot Training has trained Cadet Pilots from the Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, who graduated with excellent results.
