Petri Hepola to head Patria’s HX program

Petri Hepola, currently heading Patria’s Aerostructures business unit, has been appointed as Chief Program Officer, HX and member of Board of Management as of April 1, 2019. This appointment enables Patria to invest even more in the industrial participation of the HX project.

Martti Wallin will continue in HX Program being responsible for the national sustainment.

The HX fighter program is extremely important to Patria. Industrial participation along with the program will bring significant benefits to the Finnish national economy and Patria pursues a major part of it. HX fighter program was set up to replace the current Hornet fleet with new multi-role fighters. The final decision will be made in 2021, and the estimated value of the program is EUR 7-10 billion.
