Pasi Niinikoski, Chief Business Development Officer of Patria Group, has been appointed as a member for the Defence Business Unit (DBU) of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD). Niinikoski represents the Association of Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (ADFA), and in co-operation with AFDA also other Nordic industry organisations in this position. There are 24 members in DBU representing the major defence companies.

ASD represents the aeronautics, space, defence and security industries in Europe in all matters of common interest with the objective of promoting and supporting the competitive development of the sector. AFDA is a member of ASD. It also represents the Finnish defence industry in NIAG (NATO Industrial Advisory Group), in EDA and in Nordic Cooperation. AFDA is also a part of the Technology Industries of Finland and covers almost all the defence related industries in Finland with about 130 member companies.
